Qui rend MEDNIGHT possible

Le projet a été lancé en 2020 et célèbre maintenant sa cinquième édition de Mednight. L’évolution, l’expansion et la consolidation des fondements de MEDNIGHT sont évidentes, avec la participation de partenaires de huit pays différents : Espagne, Grèce, Italie, France, Chypre, Turquie, Tunisie et Belgique. Ensemble, ils renforcent les liens de fraternité entre les pays méditerranéens autour de la culture scientifique, en contraste avec les conflits qui secouent notre Méditerranée.

Un large éventail d’activités en ligne et en présentiel sera organisé par le consortium MEDNIGHT à Messine, Lesbos, Xanthi, Nicosie, Istanbul, Bruxelles, Monastir, Montpellier, Toulouse, Madrid, Almeria, Orihuela et Alicante (principales villes), ainsi qu’à Athènes, Patras, Limnos, Rhodes, Syros, Eyupsultan, Kadikov, Guardamar, Torrevieja, Santa Pola, Nantes et Larnaca, entre autres.

L’équipe MEDNIGHT se compose de Genopolys, un centre de rayonnement associant le CNRS, l’INSERM et l’Université de Montpellier, du Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Toulouse (CHUT), de l’Association des Alumni Marie Curie (MCAA), du Centre de Recherche en Technologies de l’Information ATHENA et de SciCo en Grèce, ainsi que SciCo Chypre, le Palais des Sciences de Monastir en Tunisie, l’Association européenne des femmes recteurs, l’Université Kadir Has d’Istanbul, le Centro de Investigaciones Energéticas Medioambientales y Tecnológicas (CIEMAT), le Museo Didáctico Interactivo de Ciencias de la Vega Baja – Jesús Carnicer (MUDIC) et El Caleidoscopio en Espagne, tous coordonnés par l’Université de Messine en Italie.

MEDNIGHT has the support and recognition of the Community of Mediterranean Universities (CMU) as well as the University of Montpellier, University Miguel Hernández, University of the Aegean, Istanbul Technical University and the Miguel Hernández and ITU ARI Technoparks, among others

Mednight has established links with other European Nights, such as Madridnight, Open Researchers, Connect and Science4future-II. We will mutually support the mentioned proposals and we commit to exchanging relevant information informed about the projects’ progress.

We count with MCAA chapters all over the Mediterranean and with several subsites of partner organizations, which gives the project an impressive geographical reach. In addition, municipalities of coastal cities will participate and help to carry out the proposed activities.

Non-profit organizations such as Eurorelief (Refugee Aid Group), Ecologistas en Acción, and other associations will collaborate with the involvement of different audiences in the activities. MEDNIGHT will have access to hospitals and care homes for the elderly where some activities will take place.
