DATA CONTROLLER

PURPOSE OF TREATMENT

Your personal data will be processed for the sole purpose of managing and processing your participation, as well as, where appropriate, manage the delivery and / or facilitate access and enjoyment of the Prize awarded to the winners of the Tales from the Mednight literary contest and in accordance with the provisions of the legal bases.

LAWFULNESS OF PROCESSING

The legal basis of the processing is the consent of the data subject to the processing of his personal data for the purposes detailed above as well as the satisfaction of legitimate interests pursued by the data controller.

PLANNED TRANSFERS

The entity does not plan to transfer data. However, in compliance with legal obligations, your personal data may be communicated to the relevant authorities whenever such information is required in accordance with the established legal processes. Likewise, in the event that the prize is to be delivered by a third party, the identification data of the winner/s will be communicated to the third party for the sole purpose of processing the delivery of the prize.

TRANSFERS TO THIRD COUNTRIES

The entity carries out international transfers of data to recipients established outside the European Economic Area when the data subject is not a member of the European Economic Area, and only when the university institution in charge of managing the processing of the applicant’s participation coincides with the applicant’s citizenship.

In this sense, the refusal to provide us with your explicit consent will imply the impossibility to process the application for participation.

DATA RETENTION PERIOD

The personal data provided will be kept for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which they were initially collected. Once the purposes for which the data were initially collected have disappeared, or the data subject has exercised the right of opposition or erasure of the data, they will remain blocked in the systems of the responsible party, where appropriate, making them available to the competent Public Administrations and Agencies, Judges and Courts or the Public Prosecutor’s Office, during the period of limitation of the actions that may arise from the relationship maintained with the client and/or the periods of conservation provided for by law.

However, we inform you that if you are the winner, your name and surname will be published in digital channels of “El Caleidoscopio Proyectos de Ciencia y Cultura S.L.” and “MEDNIGHT” for an indefinite period of time, without prejudice to the right to request their removal, and without this entailing any right to additional compensation to the winners, beyond the prize.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The present contest organized by “El Caleidoscopio Proyectos de Ciencia y Cultura S.L.” and the project “MEDNIGHT”, is subject with all its scope and extension to the application of the Spanish Intellectual Property regulations and specifically to the Real Decreto Legislativo 1/1996, de 12 de abril which approves the Texto Refundido de la Ley de Propiedad Intelectual and other applicable regulations.

RIGHTS AND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

You can request more information, as well as exercise your rights of access, rectification and erasure and others recognized in the aforementioned data protection regulations by sending a written communication to the email address info@elcaleidoscopio.com. To exercise your rights, if necessary, your request must be accompanied by a photocopy of your I.D. or equivalent document, in order to prove your identity. If you feel your rights have been violated with regard to the protection of your personal data, especially when you have not obtained satisfaction in the exercise of your rights, you can file a claim with the competent Data Protection Supervisory Authority (Spanish Data Protection Agency), through its website:  www.aepd.es

By accepting the present terms and conditions, the data subject declares and guarantees that the data provided are true, accurate, complete and up to date; committing to report any changes and being solely responsible for any damages, both direct and indirect, that may be caused as a result of non-compliance with this clause. Likewise, you explicitly agree to the processing of your data in the terms set forth herein. You may, at any time, revoke such consent by preventing the processing of your personal data. However, the withdrawal of consent would result in the cancellation of your application.
