Miguel Hernández University researchers Inmaculada Simón and Francisco Javier Alfosea attended the Paco Ruiz high school in Bigastro on Friday, June 6. The students enjoyed an educational talk about nanotechnology applied to agriculture. During this activity, 50 students were able to learn about the latest advances in the field of agriculture and gain practical insight into how a plant laboratory works through two activities. In the first, they simulated the preparation of media used for in vitro culture, used to multiply plants under controlled conditions, and in the second, they simulated ex vitro plant infection using model plants used in research. This provided a simple and practical introduction to the science behind plant health.
