Orientation project for primary schools
Department of Political and Legal Sciences – University of Messina
On 26 May 2023, in the Campagna Room of the Department of Political and Legal Sciences of the University of Messina, the second meeting of the Orientajunior project was held, organized by Maria Francesca Tommasini and aimed at primary school children, and held this year in collaboration with the MEDNIGHT project.
During this second meeting, 120 pupils of the Evemero Institute, accompanied by the teacher Graziella Catalano, listened to the reading of the story “Scientific motivation”, contained in the volume “Tales of MEDNIGHT”.
Later Marco Albano and Dario Di Fresco involved them in a thematic workshop entitled “Journey to discover the wonders of the Strait of Messina”. In particular, they focused on the “Pinna Nobilis” or “Nacra”, protagonist of the fable “Scientific motivation”.
After the snack, held in the garden of the Department, the children took a guided tour of the exhibitions set up in the Borsellino, Falcone and Cingari classrooms of the Department, and received a booklet of puzzle games as a gift, specially developed for them with the graphics and themes of the MEDNIGHT project.
