Following the great success of the activities held in September, in the framework of the Mediterranean Researcher’s Night, where more than 530 students of Mytilene participated, more activities were organized during the academic year, targeting students from all over Greece.
From December to March, 33 researchers, particularly from the Department of Environment of the Aegean University, visited 31 schools for the activity Researchers at Schools. During these visits, more than 1200 students were informed in an interactive way about environmental issues, the basic principles of the Circular Economy and Astronomy. In addition, they gained a better understanding of the value of science and the work of researchers, with a particular emphasis on the role of women in the evolution of science.
