As part of the issues concerning the current challenges of the Mediterranean region, the round table takes its cue from the meeting of the Bishops and Mayors of the Mediterranean, held in Florence in February 2022. In memory of Giorgio La Pira and in the horizon of the Synodal Way, the meeting had as its objective the signing of a document, Charter of Florence, in which the themes of dialogue and peace, education and training of young people, sport as an instrument of aggregation and social inclusion, do not appear detached from the observation that the Mediterranean is not only a geographical place, but also place of the spirit.
