The Round Table – animated by Professors Marta Tigano, Fortunato Freni, Adelaide Madera, Michele Messina and Anna Pitrone – proposes to the participants a debate on the migratory phenomenon; starting from a reflection on the continuous massacres of migrants at sea and the consequent need for their prevention, thanks also to the increasingly important role played by non-governmental organizations (NGOs), the round table intends to direct the debate on the integration capacity of our territory, an indispensable condition to guarantee an adequate reception policy. In particular, the issue of the protection of religious freedom will be addressed in the light of the new requests for multiculturalism and integration produced by the growing migratory flows.
