
MARINE PROTECTED AREAS: AN INVESTMENT FOR THE FUTURE
Alfonso Ramos Esplá, Professor of the Marine Sciences and Applied Biology Department, will explain the benefits of protecting marine areas. The Mediterranean is rich in biodiversity, especially, our coastline is home to areas of great environmental, landscape, cultural and historical importance. Their protection is not only a duty to the environment, it also has a positive impact on other areas such as health, social and economic.
