Alacant Desperta hosts the two current MEDNIGHT exhibitions

The first of these, ‘Mediterranean Faces of Science’, is a collection of short biographies with new, fresh, different and contemporary faces; faces of women who live very different personal, cultural and professional circumstances, but all of them with a common element that connects them: the Mare Nostrum. Designed by Seneca Foundation.

The second, ‘Mediterranean Women for Health’, pays tribute to the women of the Mediterranean who have contributed to improving health and quality of life through research, healthcare, education, or volunteering. Faces that are little known outside their homelands; twentieth and twenty-first century women who deserve visibility for their extraordinary labour; women who have broken the rules, becoming pioneers in their respective fields and making significant contributions.
