E-sports: how to play video games consciously

The phenomenon of e-sports (or competitive video games) is constantly expanding due to the huge spread of tournaments and events involving professional players, coaches, mental coaches and other professional figures. In Italy there are CONI-recognized sports promotion entities that include the virtual sports sector and, at the international level, there are discussions about whether to admit them among the Olympic disciplines. Through the practical experience of gaming accompanied by the delivery of an information brochure concerning legal, sociological and psychological profiles, the event aims to deepen the knowledge of this new phenomenon especially by minors by highlighting its potential, but also its risks.
