Criminal law protection of our underwater cultural heritage

Did you know that the Mare Nostrum is full of wonders? On the bottom of the Mediterranean lie hundreds of relics of historical and cultural interest and some of them are located right in the waters of Messina, where we usually swim in summer. Did you also know that a reform of crimes against cultural heritage was enacted in 2022? Its aim is to ensure enhanced protection of this legal asset, even using the criminal law instrument.
