The students of the Intermediate Degree in Cooking and Gastronomy of IES Los Montesinos enjoyed a “Researchers back to School” activity on October 22.
The activity, taught by researcher Inmaculada Simón, from Miguel Hernández University, dealt with the relationship between agriculture and cooking. Specifically, she showed the students how they can grow the vegetables that they will later use in their culinary work. To do so, they learned about organic gardening and how to make their own seedbeds. The objective was to have tender, freshly harvested sprouts when finishing the dishes and giving them a touch of personality.
