On Friday, September 26, the Athena Research Center in Xanthi opened its doors for the Mediterranean Researchers’ Night – MEDNIGHT 2025, welcoming more than 500 visitors to a vibrant celebration of science, curiosity, and community.
From artificial intelligence and sustainability, to digital heritage and youth-led STEM projects, this year’s event showcased how science connects with society inspiring people of all ages to ask questions, explore, and engage.
Researchers, students, and local partners transformed the Kimmeria campus into a lively hub of interactive exhibits, hands-on experiments, and educational games. A special pre-event in Xanthi’s central square also brought science to the heart of the city.
