Organized by the MCAA Argentina Chapter, this activity took place on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, the International  Day of Women and Girls in Science, at the Centro Integral de Microscopía Electrónica (CIME), a leading research and service center specializing in advanced microscopy techniques in Tucumán, Argentina. CIME plays a vital role in exploring the micro and nano worlds, from studying microorganisms and nanoparticles to unraveling historical secrets using state-of-the-art electron microscopes.

During the event, local women scientists demonstrated fascinating experiments and shared fun facts about their research in diverse areas, such as environmental microbiology, nanotechnology, historical heritage, and materials science. Teenager students had the chance to observe microorganisms, explore the properties of nanoparticles, and discover how supermicroscopes at CIME contribute to cutting-edge science, in both natural and social sciences. This hands-on experience aimed to spark curiosity and inspire the next generation of scientists, especially young women and girls, to explore the wonders of science and innovation. There were 20 scientists and staff and 20 visiting girls (ages: 5 to 18), some in the company of their relatives. The activity was from 10 to 14 hrs.
