“They welcomed us as if it was the most beautiful thing in their lives. I will never forget the experience. They were very special”.

With these words Dr. Tania Fleitas Kanonnikoff, researcher at INCLIVA in the gastric cancer field, recalls her visit to the Benavites school on 15 May to explain her experience as a researcher to children aged 9 and 10. A very emotional meeting in which the students of this school in the town of Quart de Les Valls, in the Region of Valencia, showed great curiosity about the research.

At the end of the visit, the students handed over a donation of 440.42 euros raised at a charity market, organised by the class, with products they had created themselves, such as soaps. The donation will go to the Vero Project being carried out at INCLIVA for the study of gastric cancer in people under 50 years of age.
