The economic and social development of a region is largely dependent on entrepreneurship. What is the state of the art of entrepreneurship in Sicily and Calabria? What are the characteristics that distinguish these new ventures? The event aims to critically discuss the evidence collected and reported in the financial statements of the Sicilian and Calabrian companies launched less than five years ago. In particular, the study highlights the sectors, geographic areas and characteristics of managers and entrepreneurs (e.g. gender and age) that are associated with better economic and financial performance.
