What is DNA? How and why is it studied? Come and find out with us!
Children and teens will learn about the structure and importance of DNA, the study of nucleotide sequences, and genetic mutations. They will be able to have fun constructing their own nucleotidic sequence through puzzle pieces and then discover what the resulting appearance (phenotype) will be.
For adults,a presentation explaining the importance of studying DNA, through classical or more innovative approaches, and how a single sequence mutation can cause a disease will be shown. Moreover, a discussion of the genetic diseases prevalent in the Mediterranean area will be held.
