María Norte Muñoz. Graduated in Biochemistry motivated by her interest in understanding the origin of diseases. She decided to pursue basic laboratory research by doing a Master’s degree in Molecular Biology. She applied for a competitive grant to study for a PhD in Vision Sciences. Her work focuses on using the retina as a window into the brain, looking for pathological markers or clues that can provide information about brain conditions, including glioblastoma, the most aggressive type of brain tumour.
