Mª Ángeles Alonso Vargas (Villena, 1970) is a professor of Botany in the Department of Environmental Sciences and Natural Resources at the University of Alicante. She holds a degree in Biology from the University of Alicante (1993) and a PhD in Biology from the University of Alicante (2001, apt cum laude).
