How do companies measure and communicate the environmental sustainability of their products? How can they prove that it is not “green-washing”?
To find out if the product we are consuming respects the concept of environmental sustainability, it is necessary to measure its impact on the environment throughout its entire life cycle, for example: how much does it affect climate change?
Many companies are aware of this and use the Life Cycle Assessment method to measure and communicate the environmental performance of their products.
The activity will present some examples of agri-food companies that use this method to communicate the environmental impacts of their products.
