From February 22nd to 24th, the fifth edition of the “Festival of Scientific Culture” took place at the “Caminiti Trimarchi” high school in Giardini Naxos (ME). This year the theme of the Festival was “Communicating Science”.
MEDNIGHT project researchers participated in the Festival by involving students in roundtables and debates on science communication and in a series of workshops, experiments and demonstrations.
During the first day of the Festival, MEDNIGHT researchers involved the students in various activities, from the life cycle of olive oil to the production of alternative energies, from sensory analysis of aromatic herbs to new carbon-based materials, from importance of the soldier fly to open source physics.
About hundred students have attended the activities of the first day.
