Boosting Photovoltaic Performance by the Synergistic Interaction of Halide Perovskites and Semiconductor Quantum Dots

The objective of the No-LIMIT project is to improve the efficiency of solar cells through the synergistic interaction of materials to overcome the limitations of the current photovoltaic conversion.

The project will advance in the generation of a new compound with capacity of solar exploitation from the mixture of two relatively new materials. First, quantum dots — emerged at the laboratory by quantum confinement, which provides them with new properties — together with perovskite, a family of materials with very high solar conversion efficiencies.

Specific program: European Research Council (ERC).
