PhD in Biological Sciences from the Universidad Autónoma of Madrid. Professor of Plant Physiology in the Faculty of Environmental Sciences and Biochemistry at the University of Castilla-La Mancha, Toledo. She is currently the president of the Association of Women Researchers and Technologists (AMIT).
Professor Fenoll heads the Plant Biotechnology and Molecular Biology Group, whose interest is the genetic and molecular control of cell differentiation in plants and its biotechnological application to the control of pathogenic nematodes and the increase of plant productivity. She is a regular contributor to scientific dissemination activities on biotechnology.
Since 1984, she has been teaching subjects related to molecular and cellular biology, genomics and biotechnology in Biology, Food Science and Technology, Biochemistry and Environmental Science programmes at undergraduate, graduate, master’s and doctoral levels.
She has participated in numerous national and international meetings and discussion groups on Women and Science and Women and Universities, such as the biennial European Beyond the Glass Ceiling meetings in Istanbul and the World Women University Presidents Forums in Beijing, where she has presented papers and contributed articles on gender in universities.
