Sugar in the blood and surroundings… in search of the lost insulin
The activity aims to raise awareness among primary and lower secondary school children and their parents about type 1 diabetes, making them knowledgeable about the onset symptoms, how to correctly perform and interpret a capillary blood glucose test, the amount of sugar in foods and beverages consumed by children, and how technological innovations help improve the quality of life for children with type 1 diabetes. Interactive games on carbohydrate counting and recognizing normal and pathological blood glucose values will be used. Additionally, a prize will be offered to all participants in the contest.
