On Saturday 14 May at 10.30 the Award ceremony of the Regional phase of the 2022 Chemistry Games will be held in the Aula Vittorio Ricevuto of the Papardo plexus. The Chemistry Games held remotely last April 30 (https://www.soc.chim.it/it/sezioni/sicilia/giochi_della_chimica).

This year’s edition of the Chemistry Games 2021/22 set a historic record, involving 10,299 students. In our region 724 students registered, increasing the number of last year by over 200 units. A significant increase was found for schools in the province of Messina which have tripled their number of students compared to previous years, reaching 151.

The ceremony will take place under the patronage of the University of Messina, the National Research Council and Confcommercio Messina. During the ceremony, the exhibition “The Mediterranean faces of science” will be set up in the atrium of the Auditorium, in order to illustrate the role of women in Mediterranean science to the participants in the Games, hopefully future scientists.
