Green chemistry for a sustainable future

Nowadays, in order to protect the environment and reclaim areas polluted in air/water/soil, it is of primary importance to develop eco-friendly and innovative products, obtained starting from sustainable synthetic procedures, based on natural or waste reagents, in water and at low temperature. Furthermore, the preparation of nanostructured functional materials for sustainable applications must underlie a green chemistry.

During the event, various innovative techniques for environmental remediation will be shown, employing products able of absorbing and/or degrading environmental pollutants by biological or catalytic means, as well as examples of sustainable products, as obtained from natural/waste materials by green procedures.
