Science Week in Castiglione del Lago, Italy

Together with the primary school of Castiglione del Lago (Direzione didattica statale Franco Rasetti, https://www.dirclago.edu.it/) MCAA Italy Chapter organizes a week completely dedicated to science to involve children from the last grade of kindergarten to the last grade of elementary school. Several scientists will come to Castiglione del Lago and will involve the children in laboratories of different fields: geosciences, chemistry, natural sciences, medicine, physics … The children will be part of the activities, they will play games, make excursions into the nature, build their own instruments, make real measurements and interact directly with the scientists. We are supported by Instituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia (labs on volcanos and earthquakes), Consiglio Nazionale delle ricerche (labs on atmosphere, remote sensing and pollution), Università di Pisa (launch of a sounding balloon), several freelancers (labs on natural sciences, nutrition).
