Is climate change already here? How can we deal with it?

Extreme weather events such as heat waves appear to be increasing in frequency due to climate change driven by CO2 emissions from burning fossil fuels. In order to deal with the phenomenon, it is necessary on the one hand that governments take measures at a central level and on the other hand that citizens are well informed in order to change their habits and support the relevant policies. The purpose of the action is to inform the public about the issue of climate change and about prevention and adaptation measures. The update is made using the results of the HORIZON Europe “CLIMAS” project (“Civil Engagement Toolkit for the Development of Social Resilience to Climate Change”) (https://www.climas-project.eu/) which aims to strengthen citizen participation in Climate Assemblies to co-shape climate change adaptation and resilience policies, and is methodologically based on participant values, design thinking and citizen science. With this action, the public passing by the point is informed about the issue through a posted poster, brochure and video. At the same time, he has the possibility to ask the present researchers for clarifications. Finally, a small questionnaire is given that can be answered by mobile phone regarding climate change and countermeasures.
