How clean is the air we breathe?

According to the World Health Organization, air pollution, whether indoor or outdoor, is the most important environmental risk factor for public health. Particulate matter from burning fossil fuels and other sources is a major contributor to pollution. The purpose of the action is to inform the public about the sources, levels and effects of indoor and outdoor particulate matter. The action is aimed at the general public and is open to anyone who passes by and is interested. There is a poster posted, a leaflet provided and a short (3-minute) video about the quality of the air we breathe plays continuously. At the same time, 2 portable sensors are in operation that measure air pollution (specifically suspended particles – PM2.5) in real time at the point of action. The action is based on the results of the ENIRISST+ research project. There are researchers present to answer questions about air pollution and sensor readings.
