Exhibitions of scientific women in Orihuela

“MEDITERRANEAN FACES OF SCIENCE” EXHIBITION

With the aim of transmitting a current image of Mediterranean science, the Mudic VBS-CV Foundation makes its third exhibition available to the public on women scientists, this time forming part of the European project MEDNIGHT – The Mediterranean Night of Researchers.

This is a collection of 27 short biographies with new, fresh faces, different and current; faces of women who live circumstances very varied personal, cultural and professional, but all of them with a common element that connects them: the Mare Nostrum.”

In the exhibition we can find women scientists from 13 countries in the world. Mediterranean, for example, to scientists like Ornela Bardhi, computer scientist at Albania; Rashika El Ridi, immunologist from Egypt; Pascale Cossart, bacteriologist from France; the biologist María Blasco, from Spain; and chemist Najat A. Saliba, from Lebanon.

It is an exhibition of active women scientists who are currently developing their research. The exhibition is open to the public and particular to the participation of schools, where they have prepared gymkhanas which will help to instill in secondary school students the importance of women in science.

“MEDITERRANEAN WOMEN FOR HEALTH” EXHIBITION

The exhibition ‘Mediterranean Women for Health’, designed by the Institute of Investigation Sanitaria INCLIVA within the framework of the European project Mednight (Mediterranean Night of the Researchers) allows, through 24 canvases, to show the little-known faces outside his countries of origin of women of the 20th and 21st centuries who deserve to be made visible by their extraordinary work, for having made significant contributions and for having broken molds in their respective professional fields.

Women from Mediterranean countries return to star in an exhibition in a format and category that attracts, delights and spread for make visible the extraordinary contribution of women in science.
