If you are writing scientific literature, researching, teaching or disseminating science, this is your opportunity to be part of the project that represent the III Tales of the Mednight. A literary contest whose purpose is to bring science by representing the winning stories to hospitalized children, migrants and elderly people in residences. The deadline to register your work is extended until August 12 at 23:59. The selected stories will be published in digital and printed version, the ISBN of the compilation book will be managed and a printed copy will be sent to the winners as a prize. MEDNIGHT also offers training to become a story writer through an online guide, uploaded to the project website, on how to develop a history of scientific dissemination. The story should be about scientific aspects related to the Mediterranean and comply with the aspects of a tale and a short story. There are two categories, for children and for youngsters, which will facilitate the adaptation of the papers submitted.

Dozens of writers from all over the Mediterranean and Latin America are already part of an inclusive and supportive outreach proposal. On the Mednight website are available the works of the previous editions, reaching in 2023 the translation into Greek, Italian, Turkish and English, also made the adaptation to easy reading and pictograms of one of the winning works. The MEDNIGHT Tales will be narrated at events of the Mediterranean Researchers’ Night, which will take place on 29 September in different locations in the Valencian Community, in Spain, Greece, Cyprus, Turkey and Italy.
Mednight is a Mediterranean science dissemination project that brings together 10 entities in consortium: FISABIO, INCLIVA, CSIC, MUDIC, El Kaleidoscope, SciCo Cyprus, Messina University, Kadir Has University of Istanbul and the European Association of Women Rectors (EWORA)under the coordination of SciCo Greece, within the framework of the European Night of Research (European Researchers’ Night), promoted and financed by the European Commission as part of the Marie Sklodowska-Curie actions of the Horizon Europe programme.
