Desarrollada en el Instituto Roslin (Escocia) y por el National Centre for Biodiversity and Gene Conservation (Hungría), esta tecnología aborda un problema clave en la preservación de pollos y otras aves.

🔎 En aves, actualmente sólo se preserva el semen de los machos, excluyendo a los ovocitos de las hembras. Esto no es lo ideal ya que las hembras:
✅ Determinan el sexo de los pollitos.
✅ Portan material genético único que los machos no transmiten.
✅ Sin su conservación, restaurar una raza puede tomar 7 generaciones en lugar de 1.
