The Mediterranean Sea drowns in 1.178 million tons of plastic. Replace polluting plastics with green plastics and properly dispose of plastic waste can represent the turning point for the protection of our wonderful planet. The team consisting of Claudia Espro, Daniela Iannazzo, Angelo Ferlazzo, Viviana Bressi, Antonella Satira, Roberto di Chio, through interactive demonstrations, laboratory experiences, quizzes and much more, will illustrate the techniques of conversion of food, urban or industrial waste into bioplastics and the use of biomaterials as adsorbent of marine pollutants.
